Kittery man gets 6 years for hitting 2 bicyclists

BRENTWOOD, N.H. – A Maine man who pleaded guilty to several charges for running down two bicyclists last March has been sent to prison for six years.

Police said William Katsonis, 51, of Kittery, Maine, hit the cycling couple, Steven and Christine Jankins, on Route 1-A and then led police on a chase through Rye and into Portsmouth, where he was arrested.

He has been held at Rockingham County Jail since his arrest.
