EAST MACHIAS – Ashley Tilton scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds to lead Washington Academy to a 43-37 high school girls basketball victory over Woodland to claim the Downeast Athletic Conference championship Thursday.

Megan Look scored four of her 11 points in the final minute of the fourth quarter for the Raiders.

Courtney Cochran led the Dragons with 14 points and Michelle Ferry added 11 points.

At Orono, Tony Raymond had two goals and one assist and Sean Babin two goals and three assists to propel 14-5 Orono past 2-17 Old Town.

Brandon Paul had a goal and three assists and Derek Smith a goal and assist for the Red Riots. Keith Hedrick and David Eugley saved 10 of 11 shots.
