How do we end the madness in Iraq? How do we defuse the hatred of the so-called rogue states?
It’s simple. When I was a child, my mother taught me how. Our leaders say, “We made a terrible mistake with Iraq and we need help.” We say this to France, to Germany, to Russia and to the United Nations. And if anyone sneers, we remind them that we have bailed some of them out of their own traps in the past.
Our administrators could prove their stature in no greater way than asking, with humility, for help.
