PRESQUE ISLE – A 30-hour domestic violence volunteer training course will be held by the Battered Women’s Project from May 20 through June 22.

Participants will learn crisis intervention and effective listening skills to assist them in helping victims of domestic abuse who call the project’s hot line.

The hours for the volunteer training sessions are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, in Presque Isle and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 22, through Thursday, June 22, in Presque Isle, Houlton and St. John Valley.
