WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Colby College women’s crew team finished second in the petite final race at the NCAA Division III Rowing Championships Saturday.
Lewis and Clark College won the race with a time of 6 minutes, 55.958 seconds and Colby was less than two seconds behind at 6:57.951.
Members of Colby’s runner-up team are Carrie Curtis and Katie Curtis of Hebron, Sarah Bartels (Hanover, N.H.), Margaret Duggan (Bronxville, N.Y.), Anne Feutz (Clayton, Mo.), Valerie Friedman (Pennington, N.J.), Mariah Hudnut (Fort Collins, Colo.), Austin Phillips (Madison, Conn.) and Justine Scott (Spokane, Wash.). Williams College won its second national team title by placing two boats in the grand final.
