NEWRY – More than 100 amateur golfers from the six New England states will compete in the New England Women’s Golf Association championship tournament at the Sunday River Golf Club from July 11-13.

The Maine Women’s Golf Association is the host for this year’s tourney, which is the 50th anniversary of the event. Joanne Catlin of Winchendon Golf Club in Massachusetts is the defending champion.
