NEWPORT – Jeffrey Peabody of Newport used a 9-iron to ace the par-3, 152-yard 10th hole at Newport Country Club Tuesday. Wayne Spriggins and Carlton Strout witnessed the shot.

ORONO – Doug Dwyer recorded a hole in one at Penobscot Valley Country Club Tuesday. He aced the 4th hole using an eight iron from 151 yards. The shot was witnessed by Mike St. Thomas, Tom Lynch and Barry Hobert.
