Washington Academy rallies past GSA

EAST MACHIAS – Miranda Copeland scored 12 of her game-high 25 points in the third quarter and Emily Mawhinney scored all nine of her points in the fourth to help Washington Academy to a 50-46 schoolgirl basketball win over George Stevens Academy on Saturday.

Michala Bunton scored 18 points to lead the Eagles while Jamie Wood and Sarah Clapp scored 11 apiece.
