In Alicia Anstead’s review (BDN, July 28-29) of the new book “The Bostons” by Carolyn Cooke, Anstead fails to mention a germane fact concerning the author’s Maine beginnings.

For the record, one of the stories in the book, “Girl of Their Dreams,” singled out by other reviewers as one of the best in the collection, was first published in Orono under the title of “Fishing Camp” in The Puckerbrush Review in the l995 summer/fall issue.
