The state Fire Marshal’s Office has not yet ruled on the origin of a fire in August that destroyed a Mill Street home. Michelle Knowlton, 30, and her two young children were asleep on the second story of the home when the fire erupted. Knowlton kicked out a window, tossed her children to the ground and then jumped to safety herself. Knowlton and one of her young sons were injured in the ordeal. The woman and her children now are residing with relatives in Sangerville.
