DOVER-FOXCROFT – Jenn Gagnon scored off an Amy Molinaro assist with 30 seconds left in the second overtime to lift the Foxcroft Academy Ponies past John Bapst of Bangor 2-1 in high school field hockey play Thursday.
Foxcroft’s Kelsey Boss scored the game’s first goal 12:35 into the first half on a pass from Kayla Clukey. Christina Andrle equalized for John Bapst with 22 minutes left in the game when she converted a Megan Tilton assist.
Foxcroft outshot John Bapst 33-5, but goalie Hillary Laferriere made 31 saves for the 4-3 Crusaders. Renee Maheu had four saves for 5-2-1 Foxcroft.

Hermon 2, Old Town 1
At Old Town, Lillian Barry’s second goal of the game with 3:20 remaining was the difference as the Hawks won their first game of the season.
Barry also tallied a first-half goal for 1-5-1 Hermon. Carrie Cole made 10 saves on 11 shots.
Sarah Wilcox scored off a Lindsay St. Louis assist for 1-6-1 Old Town. Heather Nye made 11 saves on 13 shots.

Dexter 4, Brewer 0
At Dexter, Olivia Gardner scored two first half goals as Dexter shut out Brewer.
Jess Mason and Jana Kenney each netted a goal while Claire Wyman had two assists. Becky Johnson and Brooke Mountain each added an assist for Dexter. Katie Poirier faced no shots for the 5-2-1 Tigers.
Angela Patterson made eight saves on 14 shots for the 0-8 Witches.

Boys soccer
Messalonskee 1, Hampden 0
At Oakland, David Rossignol converted a breakaway 18 minutes into the game and Tim Davis made 13 saves on 19 shots as Messalonskee improved to 4-2-2.
Cam Cox made four saves on five shots for 5-2 Hampden Academy.

Hermon 2, Bucksport 1
At Bucksport, Colton Gross scored with 14 minutes left to lift the Hawks to their first win.
Chad Riendeau added a goal for 1-6-1 Hermon and Corey Johnson had nine saves on 12 shots.
Teddy Cook had the 2-5 Golden Bucks’ goal and Miles Bisher stopped 21 of 28 shots.

Calvary Chapel 7, Islesboro 0
At Hampden, Luke Thomas netted three goals as Calvary Chapel cruised past Islesboro.
Ashton Colby, Zac Austin, Jon Burke and Rosarie Veilleux each added a goal. Veilleux grabbed two assists while Colby and Burke each had one. Beau Miller made one save on six shots for the 6-0 Sabers of Orrington.
Mike Tisciotta made seven saves on 25 shots for the 1-5 Eagles.
Orono 2, GSA 0
At Orono, Chris McConnon and Lee Hecker each netted a first-half goal to lead Orono by George Stevens Academy.
Nate Peterson stopped all three shots he faced for the 6-1 Red Riots.
Rashad Frazier made 15 saves on 18 shots for the 3-4-1 Eagles of Blue Hill.

Bangor Christian 6, Sumner 0
At Bangor, Phil Dougherty and Brett Bradford each tallied two goals as Bangor Christian cruised by Sumner.
Zach Kutz and Brandon Wilcox each scored a goal, and Bradford and Kutz each had two assists. Sam McLeod made seven saves on 13 shots for the 3-3 Patriots.
Andrew Bennett stopped 23 of 39 shots for the 1-5 Tigers.
Girls soccer
Hampden 4, Messalonskee 0
At Hampden, Mikki Libbey scored two goals in the first half to lead Hampden to victory over Messalonskee.
Michelle Manning and Katie Chambers added a goal each for Hampden. Sophie Kelmenson, Siobhan Grogan, Lauren Jadallah, and Kathleen Macone each tallied an assist. Michelle Wells made three saves on seven shots for the 4-4 Broncos.
Eloise Douglas made seven saves on 20 shots for the 3-4-1 Eagles of Oakland.

Bangor 5, Lawrence 1
At Fairfield, Amy Hackett scored one goal and assisted on another by Casey Hartley as undefeated Bangor rolled to its eighth win.
Caitlyn Smith, Kate Dana and Kendra Lenz added a goal apiece while Erin MacDermott and Hanna Cleason tallied assists for the Rams. Tawnya Godinez had four saves on eight shots.
Megan Forsythe scored for 5-3 Lawrence and Ashley Bonney stopped 20 out of 32 shots.

Bangor Christian 4, Sumner 1
At East Sullivan, Kelly Robinson and Morgan Chasse each had a pair of goals as Bangor Christian rolled.
Christin Pelletier, Katherine Bragg, Katie Libby and Alyssa Fish each had an assist for the 8-0 Patriots. Mariah Bach had five saves on six shots.
Lona Sargent scored for 3-4 Sumner and Morgan Traxler stopped 26 of 39 shots.
GPCA 4, Highview Christian 2
At Charleston, Bethany Green scored three goals to lift Greater Portland Christian past Highview Christian Academy.
Kara Sarver added a goal off a penalty kick in the first half. Rebecca Gagnon made four saves on 11 shots for 2-4 Greater Portland.
Michala Rowe and Jade Philbrick each scored a goal for Highview while Courtney Chandler had an assist. Jana Philbrick made 11 saves on 23 shots for the 2-2 Knights.
Lee 9, Penquis 0
At Milo, Dana Houghton and Kimmy Thurlow each netted three goals as Lee Academy blanked Penquis.
Aarika Ritchie scored two goals while Laci McLaughlin added one for Lee. Karin Bird stopped both shots she faced for the 5-1 Pandas.
Erica Lyford made 35 saves on 44 shots for the 0-7 Patriots.
Penobscot Valley 3, Schenck 0
At East Millinocket, Lyndsey Drost, Mindy Dolley and Lexi Thurlow each scored a goal to lead Penobscot Valley of Howland by Schenck.
Kelsey Lavertu made eight saves on 12 shots for the Howlers.
Toni Thompson made eight saves on 14 shots for the Wolverines.

At Calais, Courtney Hill scored the second of her two goals with 6 minutes left to give Calais the winning edge.
Kayla Cobb netted a pair of goals for the 6-1-1 Blue Devils. Stephanie Perry had 14 saves on 18 shots.
Kayla Wood notched two goals and Bre Nicely one for 4-2 Washington Academy of East Machias. Irene Lewey saved 11 out of 15 shots.
Searsport 5, DI-Stonington 0
At Searsport, Brittani Frisbie netted three goals to lead Searsport to victory over Deer Isle-Stonington.
Tianna Faunt scored two goals and had an assist while Abby Landmesser and Olivia Quigley each added an assist. Megan Higgins stopped all four shots she faced for the 3-4 Vikings.
Anika Powers made 32 saves on 43 shots for the 0-7 Mariners.

At Woodland, Emily Cummings had two saves on 13 shots to earn the shutout win for Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.
Evangeline Goodall, Kaylea Collier, Brittany Charrette and Liz Goodall netted a goal apiece for the Warriors.
Cindy Bergin had eight saves on 22 shots for Woodland.
