Many meetings about the Many Flags/One Campus concept are planned this month to answer the public’s questions about the proposal and to gain support.
The public sessions in midcoast communities will be:
. SAD 5, Tuesday, Oct. 10, Rockland District High School; Tuesday, Oct. 24, Owls Head Central School, held for Gilford Butler School in South Thomaston, as well.
. SAD 50, Tuesday, Oct. 17, St. George School; Wednesday, Oct. 18, Cushing Community School; Monday, Oct. 23, Georges Valley High School in Thomaston; and Wednesday, Oct. 25, Thomaston Grammar School, held for Lura Libby School, too. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
. Midcoast School of Technology’s program advisory committee will invite business members to its school Thursday, Nov. 2, to listen to a filmed talk by Bill Daggett of the International Center for Leadership in Education in Rexford, N.Y., about the opportunities facing education in the 21st century. Also, Alan Hinsey of Eastern Maine Development Corp., who spearheaded Many Flags, will give a presentation of the proposal. The invitation-only session begins at 5:30 with dinner.
