Todd Freeman

Freeman, a senior wide receiver, defensive back and punter for the Bucksport football team, is the LTC Class C Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2006 season. He caught the game-winning touchdown pass in the Golden Bucks’ 7-6 victory over Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln, had 35 rushing yards on 11 carries, recorded 13 tackles and an interception on defense and had a 70-yard punt in the final minutes to force MA to start its last drive from its 20-yard line.

Corey Allen

Allen, a tailback and linebacker for the Maranacook of Readfield football team, is the PTC Class B player of the week for Week 5 of the 2006 season. Allen rushed for 276 yards, four touchdowns and two two-point conversions in leading the Black Bears to their first win in nearly two years, a 41-9 victory over Old Town. Allen also had seven solo tackles.

Taryn Peacock

University of Maine forward Taryn Peacock was named Women’s Hockey East Rookie of the Week. Peacock earned her first collegiate goals as she scored two goals in two games against Mercyhurst.
