Top three priorities if elected:
? Economic growth: We need environmentally sensitive industries with high-paying jobs. Energy costs must be reduced. Roads, telecommunications and broadband Internet access must be improved.
? Affordable health care: I support Dirigo because the rising costs of health care and the loss of health coverage have negatively impacted the living standards of all Maine working families.
? Protecting Maine’s environment: Economic growth cannot be allowed to occur at the expense of the environment. Access to the coast, the lakes and forests must be protected and preserved.

Family: Amicably divorced, close family scattered around the country. My human, canine, feline and wildlife friends are my family.
Education: Grade school – small town New Jersey; high school – rural Michigan; college – courses over the years, no degrees, but wide reading has given me knowledge on many topics.
Occupation: Semiretired organic farmer, full-time volunteer working to save our clean water and what’s left of the Real Maine, as well as create good, productive livelihoods for our young people.
Experience: Working with nature as organic farmer (sheep, chickens, gardens, etc.) and beekeeper, computer analyst, legal secretary (U.S. government), cabdriver, telegraph operator, waitress, etc., and helped raise siblings (I am oldest of nine).
Top three priorities if elected:
? To broaden Real Democracy so that people can make more decisions that affect our lives. Corporations should not have more rights and power than regular people.
? To keep out-of-state garbage out of Maine and to initiate large-scale composting and recycling so less is wasted. WWII slogan, “Waste Not, Want Not,” as our goal.
? Ensure corporations pay their fair share of taxes to help support education and good health care; too much taxpayers’ money goes to wealthy, polluting corporations.

Top three priorities if elected:
? Relieve Maine’s high tax and regulatory burden to encourage job creation and provide opportunities for young people to carve out their lives here at home.
? Provide fairness for rural schools and taxpayers by repealing or vastly modifying the unfair Essential Programs and Services (EPS) school funding formula.
? Meaningful reforms to ensure affordable and accessible health care and require state government to pay its mounting debts to Maine’s struggling health care providers.
