? Affordable health care: I support Dirigo because the rising costs of health care and the loss of health coverage have negatively impacted the living standards of all Maine working families.

? Protecting Maine’s environment: Economic growth cannot be allowed to occur at the expense of the environment. Access to the coast, the lakes and forests must be protected and preserved.

Occupation: Semiretired organic farmer, full-time volunteer working to save our clean water and what’s left of the Real Maine, as well as create good, productive livelihoods for our young people.

? To broaden Real Democracy so that people can make more decisions that affect our lives. Corporations should not have more rights and power than regular people.

? To keep out-of-state garbage out of Maine and to initiate large-scale composting and recycling so less is wasted. WWII slogan, “Waste Not, Want Not,” as our goal.

? Ensure corporations pay their fair share of taxes to help support education and good health care; too much taxpayers’ money goes to wealthy, polluting corporations.
