PORTLAND – Portland Boxing Club’s Jason Ellis of Windham knocked out John Robinson of Bangor at 1:14 of the first round to win the open class heavyweight division of the Northeastern Regional Championships.

In other results (all decided by unanimous decision), junior novice class super lightweight Jesus Figeroa of Springfield, Mass., stopped Josh Harvey of Dexter; nationally ranked Dan O’Connor of Framingham, Mass., defeated Nick Stevens of Oakland; and Carlos DeSilva of Gloucester, Mass., topped Calvin Elwell of Stockton Springs in the novice class super heavyweight.
