A moral crisis

Why is it that people can’t see that we have a moral crisis? We have tens of thousands of women and children sexually assaulted each year. We have many sexual predators who have confessed to addiction to pornography on the Internet that led them to rape, murder and sexually abuse children.

Where are the letters to the editor to complain about women and children being sexually abused? But let someone abuse a dog or cat and you read in newspapers “how can anyone be so cruel.” It just goes to tell you that a lot of people think pets are more important than children.

What is needed is for women to take the lead to get rid of pornography on the Internet, just like they did to ban smoking in all public buildings, because you won’t find a lot of men to speak out on the dangers of pornography for fear of being the target of ridicule and criticism by other men. I went through it for years as my father told me not to let criticism bother you when you are right to turn away from the immorality that comes out of Hollywood and we must get rid of pornography on the Internet.

When it comes down to it, we all want our youth to grow up secure, responsible, successful and hopefully to make a positive contribution to the community as they grow up. What you want from them is to have purity of mind, conscience and body for that is a tremendous personal asset.
