Medway worker wins Ford F150 pickup

BREWER – An employee of Sunrise Materials’ Medway facility was awarded a new Ford pickup truck Tuesday after a raffle held in honor of Lane Construction’s 1 million hours of no-lost-time injuries.

Lane employs about 550 people around Maine, doing business as Lane, Sunquip, Sunrise Materials and Wardwell Contracting.

The employee, James Gleason, was among some 400 people who gathered at Jeff’s Catering to mark the occasion Tuesday.

The raffle was for a Ford F150. Robert E. Alger of Meriden, Conn., Lane’s president, said the company would raffle two trucks if employees make the 2 million-hour mark.
