Clossey, Tigers defeat Royals

JONESPORT – Wayne Clossey led three Shead players in double figures with 24 points as the Tigers of Eastport held on to beat Jonesport-Beals 68-65 in high school boys basketball action Wednesday.

Dana Mitchell tossed in 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the winners while Aaron Sullivan added 11.

Mikey Smith netted 23 points to lead the Royals and Harry Beal scored 11. James Kelley had nine points and 10 rebounds.
