Dumping ground

Concerning what was the Georgia Pacific Mill in Old Town: The fact is it no longer is a mill; it is an incinerator in sheep’s clothing.

When one takes a closer look, one sees the attempts of a desperate governor and his administration to hide the truth behind a few jobs.

Old Town is the gateway for Maine’s future as the dumping and burning ground for out-of-state waste.

If that is old news to some, then they hear but refuse to see the truth behind what (the mill) Red Shield represents.

Take your heads out of the sand and see it realistically so that at least together we can make them do it right, without poisoning all of us.

It is only the narrow-minded who see this as a victory for themselves and for the Baldacci administration.

Us-against-them cannot work here. This is about the people being less important than the bottom line in Baldacci’s budget. This is about the whole of Maine, not just Old Town.
