PORTLAND – The Boston Red Sox have announced the coaching staff for its Double-A affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs, for 2007.

Hitting coach Russ Morman will return for his fourth season and his fifth in the Red Sox organization. Mike Cather and Brad Pearson will begin their first season at Portland, Cather as pitching coach and Pearson as a trainer.

Both men spent the 2006 season with Class A Wilmington (Del.).
