PORTLAND – Florida Marlins prospect Josh Beckett combined with two relievers on Monday night to no-hit the Binghamton Mets 5-0 at Binghamton.
Beckett, the Marlins first found pick in 1999, threw 89 pitches over seven innings. He allowed only three walks and struck out 12. Relievers Brandon Bowe and Aaron Sceffer each pitched one hitless inning to secure the no-hitter.
