BANGOR – Matt Duplisea scored the game-winning goal 1:53 into the third period on a pass from Connor Scofield to lift John Bapst over Presque Isle 3-2 at Sawyer Arena Saturday.
Ethan Sak tallied a goal assisted by Duplisea and Scofield, and Casey Hull added a goal. Travis Poulin recorded an assist and Derek Duff made 18 saves on 20 shots for the 14-6 Crusaders.
Brennan Shaw and Ben McPherson each scored a goal for the 11-7-1 Wildcats. Greg Cyr, Spencer Deschene and Brandon Daigle had an assist apiece and Ethan Hill stopped 12 of 15 shots.
Orono 13, Hampden 3
At TJ Ryan Center, Brewer, Sean Babin scored 3 goals and recorded 3 assists as Orono thumped Hampden Academy.
Tony Raymond added in 2 goals and 2 assists, Kirk Francis and Chris McConnon each scored 2 goals and had 1 assist, Nathan Curtis scored 2 goals, Jordan Audley scored 1 goal and recorded 2 assists, Brandon goal tallied a goal and an assist, and Adam Jackson, Dustin Goudreau, and Chad Evinger each recorded 2 assists. David Eugley stopped 7 of 10 shots.
Josh Tardif scored a goal and had one assist, Ben Magaw and Ethan Chase each scored a goal, and Andrew Brown and Taylor Mcgraw each recorded one assist for the Broncos. Matt Albert and Matt McCarthy combined to stop 39 of 52 shots.
Bangor 5, Mount Ararat 2
At Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Nick George netted two goals and Christian Dionne added a goal and an assist as Bangor downed Mount Ararat.
Jon Hyatt and Chad Kelley also notched a goal apiece, and David Pardila and Matt Boehmer each tallied two assists. Chris Quirk and Alex Mooers contributed an assist for the 11-7-1 Rams. Zack Hamilton made 21 saves on 23 shots.
Colton Martin and Andrew Snider each scored a goal for 6-13 Mount Ararat. Justin Simpson stopped 20 of 25 shots.
Foxcroft Academy 3, Stearns 1
At Sawyer Arena, Bangor, Zach Dever tallied a goal and an assist to lead Foxcroft Academy past Stearns.
Chase Hutchinson and Mike Winkler each notched a goal for the 2-14-1 Ponies and Henry Obrey added an assist. Chad Phillips made 21 saves on 22 shots.
Nick Cyr scored the lone goal for Stearns on an assist from Luke Stahl and Spencer Pelkey. Paul Rucci made 30 saves on 33 shots for the 2-13 Minutemen.
