Etna woman accused of taking aunt’s car

Etna resident Christina Mills, 22, asked her aunt for a ride. When the aunt refused, Mills decided to take the woman’s 1996 Ford Taurus, according to Maine State Police.

Since Mills has a suspended driver’s license for multiple operating after suspension charges, she was charged with operating after suspension with more than three priors, a felony, along with violating conditions of her parole and unauthorized use of property.

After Mills’ arrest, she was transported to Penobscot County Jail, where she remained Sunday evening. She is scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court in Bangor today.

A 62-year-old woman flipped her car 360 degrees Saturday night.

Jacquelin Devoe of Caribou was driving west on Husson Avenue in Bangor when she lost control of her vehicle on a patch of ice. The white 2000 Oldsmobile SUV spun and hit a snowbank, flipped in the air, and finally came to rest on its tires.

The accident caused about $4,500 in damage to the vehicle. Devoe was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center with neck pain.
