CALAIS – Washington-Hancock Community Agency’s Down East Business Alliance recently celebrated the completion of its Experiential Tourism Incubator Without Walls program and is planning the next round of offerings.
The training and assistance program for local small-business owners offers a variety of services, including training, technical assistance, business counseling, financing and business-to-business networking opportunities for tourism-related business owners.
Business owners receive access to marketing resources such as graphic designers, marketing planners and funds for printing and publicizing the resulting partnerships and packages.
Since 1996, the DBA has provided services for about 440 micro-businesses and about $900,000 in loan programs.
