CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Christina Sullivan had a triple and a single with three RBIs to lead Framingham State past St. Joseph’s College 7-1 in softball action Friday.
Roger Williams University defeated St. Joseph’s in the first game 6-1.
In the first game, Anna Willis and Gabrielle Burrola each had a hit for the Monks.
In the second game, Willis and Kayla Soucy each had a pair of hits. Tessa Grindle added a hit and drove in St. Joseph’s only run.

Bates drops two
At Fort Myers, Fla., Transylvania University racked up 14 runs on 12 hits in 3 1/3 innings against Bates starting pitcher Christina Knobel to defeat the Bobcats 14-1 in the second game Friday.
Bates lost the first game 5-2 to Nichols College.
In the first game, Molly Ritner and Jill Cappucci each drove in a pair of runs for Bates of Lewiston. Stacia Saniuk went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
In the second game, Cappucci went 1-for-2 with an RBI for the Bobcats.
