The conference is being sponsored by the Unity College Law Enforcement Club and the Unity College Archery Club. To reserve tickets call John Sullivan at 948-SHOW.

Tickets cost $25 for VIP, $20 for the seminar and meal, or $12 for a single event. Student rates are available.

Proceeds will benefit Operation Game Thief, Catch-A-Dream, and the Unity College Archery Club’s trip to the World 3-D Championship.

Tracker to make presentation

Nature educator and tracking specialist Laura Sebastianelli will visit the Merryspring Nature Center in Camden on April 19 to share the experiences and observations gained by tracking Canada lynx in northwestern Maine.

Sebastianelli, the educational director at Tanglewood 4-H Learning Center in Lincolnville, is an expert tracker who assists the state of Maine with its ongoing lynx research.

When snow conditions are right for tracking, Sebastianelli and other trackers gather data that helps the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife assess lynx populations as well as locate dens and live-trap animals so they can be fitted with radio collars.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free to Merryspring members, while nonmembers will pay $5.
