Canaan man’s loud music attracts police

A Canaan man failed to heed the first warning he received from police Sunday about disturbing the peace by playing loud music. Patrick Beck, 25, who was at a Dustin Street home in Dexter, was warned by police Sunday night to lower the volume of his music. A short time later, police were called back to the home on another complaint of loud music.

While Beck was being arrested for disorderly conduct, police discovered some drug violations, according to Dexter Police Chief Art Roy.

Beck now faces the additional charges of illegal possession of Schedule Z and W drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
