Members and friends of People’s United Methodist Church are planning a Save our Steeple auction this weekend. The steeple, which dates from 1902, needs repairs and paint. So the auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, is designed to provide an array of items designed to fetch enough money to help preserve the landmark. Previews will be 4-6 p.m. The auction will be at the Brooder House in Union. Call 785-2293.
