To help recoup a recent blood donor deficit, the Portland Red Cross will be open for donations 8 a.m.-2 p.m. today at 524 Forest Ave. in Portland.

During the week, normal Portland donor center hours are noon-7 p.m. Thursday, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. the first and third Saturdays of the month.

The Bangor donor center is at 900B Hammond St. and the hours are 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. Thursdays, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays, and the first and third Saturdays of the month.
