Maine Winter Sports Center has named Mark Shea as community development director. Shea previously worked for the Caribou Parks and Recreations Department.

In his new position, Shea will be a resource for communities that want to establish or enhance their outdoor recreation program offerings, including Nordic and Alpine skiing.

The projects he will coordinate include the Healthy Hometown Ski Program, the Healthy Hometown Ski Trailers, Elite Athlete School Visits, and Ski Leaders Education.
