A Bucksport band will journey to Lewiston on Friday to help the Maine Cancer Foundation.

Oxford Networks will present “Country for a Cause” on Friday, May 18, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston to benefit the foundation.

Lewiston native and Nashville recording artist Jeff Caron has gone from the Marines to Music Row, but he’s finding a way to give back to the Maine community that he loves. Caron chose his hometown to introduce music from his debut CD, “Twist of Lime.”

The popular Bucksport band Gilpin Railroad Incident and Maine music circuit favorites Wolfcreek will join Caron for a great night of live country,

Southern rock and home-grown original music that will raise funds to fight cancer in Maine.

Members of Gilpin Railroad Incident are Becky Bowden, Chris Soper, Brad Radley, Wayne Gross and Sharla Hamor.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with Gilpin Railroad Incident kicking off the show, so don’t be late. Tickets are on sale now for $20 at 877-GO-TIX-GO or www.thecolisee.com.
