Tigers defeat Eagles Kenneson holds LCS in check

FORT FAIRFIELD – Ian Towle, Jake Kenneson and Ryan Noyes all had RBI singles in the first inning to lift Fort Fairfield to a 3-1 high school baseball victory over Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics Wednesday.

Kenneson allowed only one run on two hits while striking out 15 for Fort Fairfield. Cody Closson added three singles.

Steve Harvell and Kirk Dempsey each singled for the Eagles.

Van Buren 11, Madawaska 7

At Van Buren, Keith Vaillancourt doubled and singled to drive in five runs to lift Van Buren over Madawaska.

Craig St. Pierre had three singles and a double with two RBIs for the Crusaders and Kyle Chasse doubled and singled with two RBIs.

Tom McDermott led Madawaska with three singles and three RBIs and Nathan Beaulieu added three singles and two RBIs.

At Hodgdon, Jordan Guy singled twice and doubled to knock in three runs as Hodgdon rolled.

Levi Scott had two singles, a double and four RBIs and Daniel McGillicuddy a double and a single for the Hawks.

Jeff Holes and Zach Strauvel had two singles and three RBIs apiece for Greater Houlton Christian. Eric Sjoberg hit three singles and Chad Duff two singles and a triple.

At Dyer Brook, Dakota Sleeper allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine to lift Southern Aroostook over East Grand of Danforth.

Sleeper had a double and two singles with two RBIs for the Warriors. Tyler Robinson hit three singles and knocked in three runs and Rob Toothaker had two singles and a double with two RBIs.

Tyler Langil singled twice and scored a run for the Vikings and Kaleb Dicker hit an RBI single.

At Waterville, Mike Marsh hit a three-run double and Derek Tripp added a two-run double to lead the visiting Tigers past the Purple Panthers.

Josh Elwell singled twice and Cyrus Sleeper added an RBI double for the Tigers.

Joel Allen hit a triple and Cam Bishop added an RBI double for Waterville.

At Oakland, Mark McCann singled, stole second and scored the winning run on a Nick Curato single in the sixth inning to lead Messalonskee past Brewer.

Joe Dumont hit an RBI double for the Eagles. Nick Fenlason, Ben Seel, Mark McCann, and Curato each hit two singles.

Brad Brown doubled and singled for Brewer and Shawn Sasaki added an RBI single.

At Eastport, Michael Cummings fired a five-inning, two-hit shutout, walking only two while striking out 10 to lead Shead to the victory.

Craig Hastings hit two singles and a two-run triple for Shead. Aaron Sullivan had two singles with four RBIs.

Sean Milliken doubled and singled for Jonesport-Beals and James Kelly doubled.

WA Raiders 24, Narraguagus 2

At Harrington, Jeff Ramsdell hit a two-run home run and a three-run homer to lead the Raiders of East Machias past Narraguagus.

Joey Hunter collected two singles, a double and a solo homer to drive in four runs while Takao Kurose added three singles and three RBIs for Washington Academy.

Matt Beal, Jeremy Look and Brian Willey all singled for Narraguagus.

Ben Stout had an RBI double and Lloyd Bryant singled twice for Orono.

At Rockport, Gabe Blodgett had two singles and knocked in three runs and picked up the win on the mound for Camden Hills.

Zach Durkee hit a two-run single for Medomak Valley of Waldoboro.

At Van Buren, Kristy Morneault hit a two-run double and a single to lead Madawaska past Van Buren.

Ashley A. Cyr hit a double and two singles for the Owls and Ashley D. Cyr added two singles and an RBI.

Megan Lajoie and Karie Ouellette both had two singles and an RBI for Van Buren. Kelsey Smith doubled and a singled and Lajoie recorded nine strikeouts.

At Mars Hill, Amber Palmer collected two singles, a double and two RBIs to lead Washburn to the win.

Amy Reed singled twice and knocked in two runs while Amber Reed added a two-run double for the Beavers.

Rachel Donahue hit a solo home run for Central Aroostook. Sarah Long had two singles and an RBI and Kayla Day two doubles, a single and three RBIs.

Megan Korhonen had two singles for the Eagles.

LCS/MSSM, Fort Fairfield split

At Limestone, Victoria St. Pierre hit two doubles and a single to drive in five runs and lead Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics past Fort Fairfield 28-5 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Fort Fairfield won the second game 25-16.

In the first game, Julie Peers had three singles and an RBI for LCS/MSSM and Melanie Allen doubled and singled with two RBIs.

Kelsie Wilson singled to drive in two runs and Caitlyn Esancy added an RBI single for the Tigers.

In the second game, Esancy had three singles and two RBIs for Fort Fairfield and Kylie Bouchey hit two singles and drove in two runs.

Julie Peers homered and doubled to drive in the runs for the Eagles and Kylie Mulherin added two singles and two RBIs.
