Towle sparks Tigers Fort Fairfield rallies past Owls

FORT FAIRFIELD – Jake Kenneson pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Ian Towle’s two-run double highlighted a five-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning that sparked Fort Fairfield to a 7-3 high school baseball victory over Madawaska Tuesday.

The Owls had scored twice in the top of the sixth to take a 3-2 lead.

Jeremy Dillon added an RBI single for the Tigers.

Justin Morin tripled for Madawaska.

At Fort Kent, Joe Soucy hit a three-run home run and two singles to lead Fort Kent past Limestone Community School and Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Josh Tardif had two doubles and an RBI for Fort Kent.

Danny Hayes hit a two-run homer in the second inning for the Eagles as Chris Parent and Will Barker doubled.

At Hodgdon, Levi Scott hit a double and two singles to drive in three runs and lead Hodgdon to victory over Greater Houlton Christian Academy.

Daniel McGillicuddy doubled and singled for the Hawks, and Travis Quint singled twice.

Jason Gray had two singles and an RBI for the Eagles.

At Houlton, Mike Cleary pitched a one-hit shutout as the Shiretowners edged the Vikings.

Cleary struck out four and walked one, and allowed just two Caribou baserunners as Houlton played errorless defense.

Hunter Caron led the Houlton offense with two doubles, a single and an RBI. Cleary added a triple, double and RBI.

At Rockport, Noah Burke hit a two-run home run in the first inning and later singled to lead Camden Hills past Waterville.

Gabe Blodgett had three singles and three RBIs for the Windjammers and Jake Grinnell added an RBI single.

Cam Bishop tripled and singled for Waterville and Josh Gaudette hit an two-run double in the fourth inning.

Adam Connors hit a solo home run in the second inning for the Huskies. Ethan West tripled and Victor Quint hit an RBI double.

Shaun Stevenson hit a two-run double for the Vikings, and Kaleb Dicker singled twice.

At Woodland, Mark McLellan had two singles and drove in four runs to lead the Woodland Dragons by Narraguagus of Harrington.

Jeremy Look had two singles and an RBI for the Knights, while Matt Beal singled twice.

At Washburn, Andrea Mayo hit a home run, a triple and two singles to lead Ashland to victory.

Crystal Cook added a double and two singles for the Hornets, while winning pitcher Whitney Flint had 12 strikeouts.

Amy Reed and Erica McDougall each had three singles for Washburn, while Kelsee McLaughlin tripled.

At Houlton, Laney Herring’s three-run home run highlighted a four-run rally in the fourth inning that propelled the Shiretowners to their eighth victory.

Houlton had scored twice in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead before Herring’s blast broke the game open.

Kristen Espling and Ashley Doucette each hit a two-run home run and a single for Caribou.

At Fort Kent, Victoria St. Pierre hit three doubles and a single and drove home four runs as Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics gained the victory.

Stacy Bernier added a home run, two doubles and two RBIs for the Eagles, while Melanie Allen had a double and three singles.

Taylor Boucher led Fort Kent with a double, three singles and five RBIs. Marissa Albert added a double, single and two RBIs.

Dayna Tidd led the Hodgdon Hawks with an RBI single.

Krystal Morneault pitched a five-hitter for Madawaska.

Brooke Chasse led Fort Fairfield with a double, single and two RBIs, while Sarah Hebert had two singles and two RBIs.

At Danforth, Amber Scoville knocked four singles and drove in four runs to lead Machias past East Grand.

Melisa Zaneldin doubled and tripled to knock in two runs for the Vikings. Courtney Lloyd had three singles, a double and two RBIs and Jody Croan a solo home run.

At Winslow, Jill Smith hit two singles and drove in two runs to help lead Winslow past Medomak Valley of Waldoboro.

Renee Hall singled twice to knock in a run for the Black Raiders.

Melissa Ambridge had two singles and an RBI for the Panthers. Pam Neptune tripled and Kayla Vannah doubled.
