AUBURN – A judge on Friday denied bail for a man charged with murder in the death of a baby girl who was left in his care.

Todd Gamache, 23, of Auburn is accused of causing the death of his girlfriend’s 8-month-old daughter, Emmy Leigh Cole. The baby died on March 24 from a blow to the head, according to the state medical examiner’s office.

Gamache’s attorney said the judge in Androscoggin County Superior Court agreed to allow attorneys to reapply for bail once more information is provided to the court.
