BANGOR – For $15 a person, girls and their mothers can team up from 5 to 8 tonight at the Sea Dog Brewery to show off their entrepreneurial spirit and compete for a summer camp scholarship.
Erin Reilly and Vinitha Nair, co-creators of Zoey’s Room, will lead a creative session for the budding business owners. The mother-daughter pairs will create a name, slogan and mock design for their business before spending a fake investment intended to get the business off the ground and show a profit.
The ideas will be judged, and the three winners will receive a scholarship by Time Warner Cable to the “Numbers, Nature and Nurture” summer camp at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics this July in Limestone.
Platform Shoes, KeyBank’s Key4Women, Time Warner Cable and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics have joined together to sponsor the program. Dinner will be provided.
