PORTLAND – The Portland Sea Dogs on Sunday promoted left-handed pitcher Hunter Jones from Class A Lancaster of the California League.

The spot was open for Jones after outfielder Bryan Pritz was promoted Friday night to Triple-A Pawtucket (R.I).

Jones, a 6-foot-4, 235-pounder, was 4-1 with a 2.11 earned run average. He has 40 strikeouts and 21 walks in 47 innings of work.
