Neill, Kenerson spark Hampden victory

CALAIS – Joel Neill sparked an eight-run ninth inning with a two-run home run as Hampden rallied by Calais for a 12-5 American Legion baseball victory Sunday.

Tim Kenerson hit a two-run homer in the first for the Riverdogs while Pat Stephens singled twice.

Justin LeBlanc and Aaron Sullivan each hit two-run homers for Calais. Tommy Pottle singled and doubled.

At Heddericg Field in Brewer on Saturday, Chris Maguire knocked in four runs with two doubles and a single and earned the pitching win with five innings of work.

Ricky Adams stroked two triples with four RBIs for the Falcons, while Matt Jackson and Prentiss Swett added RBI singles.

Jarrett Lukas powered Orono with a double, three singles and two RBIs. Derek Jones and Dana Leland each hit a run-scoring single for the Twins.

Waldo sweeps Lincoln

At Searsport, Tyler Miles fired a no-hitter, striking out nine and walking two to lead Waldo to a 4-0 win over Lincoln in the second game of a Saturday Zone 1 doubleheader.

The Wildcats also won the first game 9-4.

In the second game, Miles threw 92 pitches, 46 of which went for strikes. He was helped out by Josh Nickerson, who hit a two-run home run, and Noah Burke, who added a solo homer. Jake Arthers singled twice.

In the first game, starter Nate Adams limited Lincoln to three hits while striking out eight in six innings. Caleb Ashey drove in two runs on two doubles and a single, while Arthers hit a double and added two RBIs. Miles Davies hit two singles and Gabe Blodgett doubled.

Jake Smith paced the Lumber with two singles and Corey Bennett singled and drove in two runs.

Trenton sweeps PI

At Blue Hill, the Acadians scored 27 runs in two games, sweeping Presque Isle 13-6 and 14-5 Saturday.

In the opener, Collin Ciomei hit a three-run homer and a two-run double for Trenton and Evan Alexander a three-run double.

Mike Cleary knocked a two-run double and Logan York a two-run single for the Patriots.

In the nightcap, Kyle Shea doubled twice to knock in three runs to help Trenton earn the sweep.

Phineas Peake doubled and singled to drive in two runs while Blake Wessel had two singles and two RBIs.

Pat Thibodeau and Tom Desjardins had two singles apiece for Presque Isle.

Freedom wins two

At Dover-Foxcroft Sunday, James Dobson hit a two-run single to lead Freedom to a 5-3 win over Dovetail in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday.

Freedom took the nightcap 13-3.

In the first game, Tim McCarthy, David White and Abe Landry all had an RBI single for the winners.

John Flynn hit an RBI double and Kenton Spaulding two singles and an RBI for Dovetail.

In the second game, Nick Arthers had three singles and two RBIs as Freedom earned the sweep.

Howard Whitcomb had an RBI single, Eric Eddy two singles and two RBIs for Freedom.

James Dobson led Dovetail with four singles and an RBI while Paul Lancisi and Tyler Wilson each added RBI singles.
