Trenton rides pitching, hitting of Henry in win

BLUE HILL – Collin Henry slammed a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to lift the Trenton Acadians to a 4-3 American Legion baseball victory over the Waldo Wildcats Thursday.

Henry gave up three runs on five hits while striking out seven and walking only two in a complete-game effort for the Acadians.

Kyle Shea hit an RBI double and RBI single while Blake Wessel added a pair of singles for the winners.

Josh Nickerson paced Waldo with two singles, a double and two RBIs while Rick Bernosky hit an RBI double.

Lincoln 9, Calais 0

At Lincoln, Aaron Flannery hit a solo home run and an RBI double to push Lincoln past Calais.

Drew Welch pitched a complete game shutout, scattering seven hits and no walks with seven strikeouts for Lincoln.

Tyler Thompson doubled and singled with two RBIs for Lincoln. Josh Murchison had two singles and an RBI and Jordan Burleigh added a two-run single.

Scott Boomer, Aaron Sullivan and Dylan Ramsdell each singled twice for Calais.

Penquis 6, Motor City 2

At Husson College in Bangor, Nick Emery hit an RBI single in the third inning and a three-run home run in the seventh to lead Penquis past Motor City.

Scott Kelley hit an RBI single for Penquis.

Andrew Casey had a double and two singles with an RBI for Motor City and James Spencer doubled.

Presque Isle 11, Orono 7

At Presque Isle, Tom Desjardins hit a pair of RBI doubles to lead Presque Isle past Orono.

Mike Cleary tripled, singled and knocked in a run and Logan York added three singles for the Patriots.

Kash Keezer had two singles and Dan LeBreton doubled for Orono.
