Two tickets issued at Bangor roadblock

Bangor police said they issued two tickets during a Main Street roadblock from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to 1:30 a.m. Thursday. The roadblock was designed to check for drunken drivers. Two drivers were written tickets for operating after suspension.

“We’ll be doing periodic roadblocks throughout the summer at different locations,” Bangor police Lt. Jeff Millard said Thursday.

Police said a Bangor man entered Raena’s Pub on Larkin Street Wednesday night with $1 in his pocket. He ordered and consumed beers and a pizza, then left without paying, Lt. Jeff Millard said Thursday.

Gregg Lundeen, 38, left the bar about 12:45 a.m. Thursday without paying a $19.25 tab and was arrested by Bangor police for theft. Lundeen was taken to Penobscot County Jail and made bail later in the day, a jail officer said. (Nok-Noi Hauger, BDN)
