. Preserving the Past series: heritage scrapbooking with speaker Debbie Morehouse, 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2.
. Presentation and booksigning: “The Secret Life of Lobsters” by Trevor Corson, 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4. Co-sponsored by the Bagaduce Watershed Association.
. Indigo dying demonstration by Kathleen Smith, 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.
. Spinning demonstration, 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.
. Fireside cooking demonstrated by Joyce Tarr and her daughters, 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, Sunday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday, Aug. 15, the John Perkins House, 120 Perkins St. Guided tours, $5.
. Preserving the Past series: “Diaries and Journals,” speaker Paula Dunfee, 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9; “Documenting Cemeteries,” speaker Brian Adams, 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16; “Field Music of the American Civil War,” speaker Elise Pusey, 3 p.m. Thursday, August 23.
. Quilt lecture: “New England’s Early Quilts and Quilters,” speaker Lynne Bassett, textile consultant, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.
