Steadman and her family come to Bangor from Washington, D.C., where she served at Christ Church, Georgetown, for nearly 10 years as an assistant, then as priest in charge. She will preside over her first Eucharists with the community at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. There will be baptisms at the 10 a.m. service. The Right Rev. Chilton Knudsen, Episcopal Bishop of Maine, will install Steadman formally as rector at the parish’s Celebration of New Ministry at 5 p.m. Oct. 7, at St. John’s, located at 225 French St., directly behind John Bapst Memorial High School.
