BIDDEFORD – Emily Zimmerman, daughter of Michael and Barbara Zimmerman of Roque Bluffs, recently received a sophomore award for academic excellence at the University of New England’s Spring Awards Convocation. She is majoring in marine biology at UNE and is a 2005 graduate of Machias Memorial High School.
