A man who survived a car crash in Castle Hill that killed two others last week remained in critical condition Sunday night.
Dustin Eastman, 21, was one of three people riding in a car on Route 163 in Castle Hill on Thursday night when the driver lost control while passing another car. The car went off the road and rolled over several times, ejecting Eastman from the vehicle.
Two other occupants of the car – Julie Saucier, 35, and Jerry Caron, 36 – were also ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that all three people were from Ashland or the surrounding towns. None were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, police said.
Investigators believe that speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
