Seger cruises to victory in Limited Sportsman Kelly Moore records win in PASS series race

HERMON – Frankfort’s Bobby Seger Jr. led every lap in capturing the third and final race in the Coca-Cola Limited Sportsman series Saturday night at Speedway 95.

Bradley’s Deane Smart finished second in the 50-lap feature. Milo’s Nick Jenkins was third with Steuben’s Brenton Parritt and Rowland Robinson Sr. crossing the finish line fourth and fifth, respectively.

Parritt’s finish earned him enough points to win the three-race series.

PASS Super Late Models

At Groveton, N.H., Scarborough’s Kelly Moore, the all-time winningest driver in the Busch East (formerly Busch North) series, captured the Pro All-Stars series race at Riverside Speedway Saturday night.

Parsonsfield’s Trevor Sanborn was second and Hollis’ Richie Dearborn was third. Rounding out the top five were Hallowell’s JohnnyClark and Turner’s Ben Rowe.

Dan Emerson of Hermon out ran Bangor’s Mike Reynolds to win the Super Pro/Pro Final on Pro Day Sunday at Winterport Dragway.

Busch East

At Beaver Falls, N.Y., Joey Logano of Middletown, Conn. slipped past Bryon Chew on the low side in turn four on the final lap and beat Chew by .221 of a second to collect his fourth win of the season.

Rounding out the top five behind Logan and Chew, who is from Mattituck, N.Y., were Sean Caisse of Pelham, N.H., Marc Davis of Mitchelville, Md. and Peyton Sellers from Danville, Va.

Oxford Plains Speedway

At Oxford Plains Speedway, Albany Township’s Ricky Rolfe nipped Denmark’s Carey Martin by one-thousandths of a second to win the Late Model feature Saturday night in the closest top-division finish in the track’s 58-year history with the exception of a 1981 dead heat between Leland Kangas and Lee Day.

Paris’ Dale Verrill, the runnerup in the TD Banknorth Oxford 250 eight nights ago, was third with Turner’s Shawn Martin fourth and Sabattus’ Zach Emerson fifth.

Wiscasset Raceway

R.J. Austin of Smithfield held off Dresden’s Allen Moeller Sr. to win the 25-lap Super Street feature Saturday night. Adam Chadbourne of Woolwich finished third, Jeremy Glaisier of Appleton was fourth and Nate Weston rounded out the top five.

The Late Model Sportsman 30-lap feature was postponed to Saturday, Aug. 4 due to fog.
