Dexter records third win Atwater, Patterson, Murray, Mitchell lead Tigers

DEXTER – The Dexter Tigers received goals from four different players en route to a 4-1 schoolgirl soccer victory over the Penquis Patriots Tuesday.

Sarah Atwater, Raven Patterson, Sarah Murray and Alexis Mitchell each scored for 3-1 Dexter. Allyssa Crane assisted on Patterson’s goal, and Ashley Richardson made nine saves on 15 shots.

Jessica Kahl recorded a goal for the 1-3 Patriots of Milo. Kristyn Chapman stopped 15 of 30 shots.

John Bapst 2, Hermon 0

At Hermon, Whitney Sinclair and Catherine Lammert each scored a goal to lead John Bapst by Hermon.

Ashley Gale grabbed an assist for John Bapst while Meg Kane made five saves on 19 shots for the 3-0-1 Crusaders.

Megan Herbert stopped 18 of 20 shots for the 0-3 Hawks.

Searsport 9, Sumner 0

At Searsport, Kali Berenyi and Tianna Faunce each had two goals and an assist to lead Searsport past Sumner of East Sullivan.

Sarah Bradshaw scored a goal and assisted on two others for the Vikings. Kayla Garcelon, Paige Bradshaw, Kylie Jettinghoff and Audrey Cook each added a goal.

Megan Higgins and Amanda Chaney combined to stop all three shots they faced. Morgan Traxler saved 21 of 35 shots for the Tigers.

Bucksport 2, MDI 1

At Bar Harbor, Mandy Daigle scored an unassisted goal with 15:40 remaining to lift Bucksport to victory.

Gaby Harvey added a first-half tally for the 2-1 Golden Bucks, who trailed 1-0 earlier in the period.

Nikki Bennett put the 0-3 Mount Desert Island Trojans on top with an unassisted goal in the first half.

Stephanie Bridges had five saves on 10 shots for Bucksport while Elizabeth Sargent blocked seven of 10 for MDI.

Penobscot Valley 5, Central 2

At Howland, Lyndsay Drost knocked in four goals as the Howlers picked up their first win of the year.

Abby Hallett added a goal for 1-3 Penobscot Valley. Julie Theriault saved 22 out of 36 shots.

Kelsi McHugh and Marissa Haney netted a goal apiece for 1-2 Central of Corinth. Jana Philbrick had 24 saves on 34 shots.

Hodgdon 2, Cen. Aroostook 0

At Hodgdon, Samantha Carpenter tallied a pair of goals in the second half to lead Hodgdon by Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.

Emily Jurson stopped 14 of 18 shots for the 2-6-1 Hawks. Ashley Estabrook made 11 saves on 13 shots for the 3-5-2 Panthers.

Presque Isle 5, Fort Kent 1

At Fort Kent, Carmen Allen netted two goals to lead Presque Isle past Fort Kent.

Allisen Donovan stopped four of seven shots for the 3-0-2 Wildcats. Elizabeth Morneault made nine saves on 18 shots for the 3-3-2 Warriors.

Easton 9, East Grand 3

At Easton, Katrina Martin scored three times and assisted on two others to pace the Bears.

Kilynne Beaulieu and Sam Fuller added two goals each for 2-11 Easton. Sheena Roy led the 0-4 Vikings of Danforth with a pair of goals.

Boys soccer

Sumner 4, Searsport 1

At East Sullivan, Anthony Cultrea scored a pair of goals in the second half to lead Sumner by Searsport.

Ralph Taymora and Edgar Martinez each added a goal while Joey Ossanna had an assist for Sumner. Josh Ring made three saves on eight shots for the 1-2 Tigers.

Dan Peach made 15 saves on 25 shots for the 0-3 Vikings.

Dexter 7, Penquis 0

At Dexter, Rick Stewart netted three goals to lead Dexter to the shutout of Penquis of Milo.

Devon Grant scored a pair of goals, and Nate Wyman and C.J. Giles each added a goal. Ethan Woodman tallied three assists for Dexter. Chris Eastman and Andrew Wing combined for eight saves on 12 shots for the Tigers.

Richie Russell made 12 saves on 25 shots for the Patriots.

Piscataquis 6, Schenck 1

At Guilford, Brian Hackett pumped in two goals to lead the Pirates past the Wolverines of East Millinocket.

Kyle Curtis, Justin Davis, Travis Nelson and Jake Bailey added a goal apiece with Curtis and Davis also picking up an assist each. Corbin Shufelt made five saves on seven shots for 3-0 Piscataquis.

Daniel Faloon scored unassisted for 1-2 Schenck, and Lanny Thompson made 12 saves on 21 shots.

Brewer 5, Nokomis 1

At Brewer, Shun Sasaki and Evan Nadeau each scored two goals as the Witches earned their third victory.

Ryan Nadeau added a goal and an assist for 3-1 Brewer, while Todd Ramsey, Jacob O’Donnell and Luke Thomas each chipped in with an assist.

Sam Wilson scored for 0-4 Nokomis of Newport.

Chris Brady made six saves on seven shots for Brewer, while Mark Gustin made 14 saves on 19 shots for Nokomis.

JV: Brewer 4-1
