29 Maine post offices to host Passport Fair

The Postal Service District of Maine will hold a statewide Passport Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, in 29 post offices around the state.

Applicants may attend to apply for a U.S. passport or to have a passport photo taken. Applications will be available at the event. Along with the passport application, applicants must also bring a certified copy of their birth certificate (or previous passport for submission) and a photo ID. Checks, cash, debit or credit cards will be accepted for passport application fees although U.S. State Department fees must be paid with cash, check or money order.

The fair will take place at the following post offices: Boothbay Harbor, Bridgton, Brunswick, Burnham, Caribou, Castine, Dover-Foxcroft, Ellsworth, Eustis, Farmington, Fort Kent, Gorham, Grand Isle, Jackman, Kittery, Lewiston, Limestone, Lubec, Madawaska, Orono, Portland, Rangeley, Rockland, Sanford, Springvale, Stratton, Van Buren, Vanceboro and Waterville.
