ORONO – Michelle Simpson had a goal and an assist to lead Albany University to a 3-0 college field hockey victory over the University of Maine Friday.

Nicole Savage and Michele Polizois added goals for 8-3 Albany. Anouk Vandenberg, Jess Lindsey and Sam Daly provided assists. Ashley Ross blocked seven of 12 shots.

Rebecca Giroux made five saves on 12 shots for the 4-6 Black Bears.
