BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

TYLER CRAWFORD

A junior quarterback for the Mount Desert Island football team, Crawford completed 10 of 11 passes for 185 yards as the Trojans defeated Oak Hill of Sabattus 38-18 on Saturday. Crawford also threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers as MDI improved its record to 3-2 on the season.

Small School (Classes C-D)

RICK STEWART

A senior forward on the Dexter boys soccer team, Stewart scored eight goals in three games as the Tigers remained undefeated and ranked first in Eastern Maine Class C. Stewart scored his team’s lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Central of Corinth, had two goals in a 10-2 victory at Penquis of Milo and erupted for five goals in a 7-3 victory over Foxcroft Academy.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

WHITNEY SINCLAIR

A senior striker on the John Bapst girls soccer team, Sinclair paced the 7-0-3 Crusaders with six goals and three assists in their last three games. She had two goals and three assists in a 5-1 win over previously undefeated Presque Isle, three goals in a 7-1 win over Hermon and added a goal in a 4-1 victory over Ellsworth, and now has 14 goals and 10 assists for the season.

Small School (Classes C-D)

COURNTEY COCHRAN

Cochran, a senior outside hitter on the Woodland volleyball team, led the Dragons to wins over Ellsworth and Jonesport-Beals with a combined 27-for-28 serving, six aces, 29 kills, 13 digs and an assist. She had 17 kills in a win over Calais to help Woodland to a 10-1 record.
