Bandit’s back on episodes of ‘Celebrity Rides’

In my book, it’s boring, but for those of you who are car fanatics or just love Burt Reynolds, I’ve got a good one for you.

Reynolds is going to reunite with his iconic Trans-Am, Bandit, for a special five-episode series of “Celebrity Rides.”

The 1970s classic from “Smokey and the Bandit” will be rebuilt with the help of his design team at YearOne auto restoration company. The crew will be restoring a fleet of limited edition Trans-Ams, and for viewers who have always dreamed of having their own Bandit, now’s your chance.

Do-it-yourself viewers can upload a video explaining why they should win the car at Heavy.com.

According to the latest press release, Reynolds will help select the most creative video, and the winner gets to drive home in a fully restored Burt Reynolds Edition Trans-Am, as featured on the show.

The winner will be announced during a one-hour recap special of the series at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

Throughout the series, viewers will get a chance to see Bandit take shape from shell to showstopper with a few carefully selected modifications from the original. But don’t worry, the new and improved Bandit is sure to still be able to outrun Smokey.

The first episode featuring Reynolds is set to premiere at 10 tonight, with the veteran actor sharing why he wanted to have the car built, the original specs of the car, and the search for an original Bandit to restore.

This next item isn’t a surprise, especially with the land of Botox and breast implants becoming more and more common, but I’m afraid of the outcome.

Reality TV World is reporting that Janice Dickinson, host of “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” has had even more plastic surgery – a tummy tuck and a mini neck lift. Dickinson claims she’s just trying to hang onto what she’s got, but sometimes I think you should literally hang onto what you have and not nip and tuck it so that it looks like you’ve been puckered and turned to plastic.

Barbie is plastic, not real-life models. That’s what airbrushing is for.
