Pelletier propels Braves to victory Husson shuts out UMaine-Fort Kent

FORT KENT – Madawaska native Kristin Pelletier scored three goals Sunday, sparking Husson College of Bangor to a 4-0 women’s soccer victory over the University of Maine-Fort Kent.

Kate Calligan added a goal and assist and Allison Dugal chipped in with an assist for the 2-2 Braves. Meghann Taylor stopped all four shots she faced.

Joy Gervais made 21 saves on 25 shots for the 1-3 Bengals.

UM-Farmington 2, UMPI 0

At Presque Isle Sunday, Tricia Serrell stopped all 12 shots she faced in picking up the shutout for the 3-1 Beavers.

Sara Ricker scored off an assist from Tanya Hart for the winners, and Emma Apatu added a goal.

Amanda Berry stopped 10 of 12 shots for the Owls.

UM-Farmington 3, UMPI 0

At Farmington Saturday, Megan Woodcock tallied a goal and an assist as the University of Maine-Farmington blanked the Owls.

Julia Malek and Addie Price pitched in with a goal each and Richelle Dube and Erin Findland dished out assists. Alyson Pontbriand turned back seven of eight shots.

University of Maine-Presque Isle goalie Samantha Berry stopped 13 of 29 shots.

New Hampshire Tech 2, Unity 1

At Unity Saturday, Blair Weathers knocked in two goals to power New Hampshire Tech.

Mary Soucy saved 12 of 15 shots for the 1-4 winners.

Tyla LaPlante scored the goal for 1-3 Unity. Rom Harrison saved 11 of 13 shots.

Johnson State 1, Thomas 0

At Johnson, Vt., Saturday, Rachel Anderson made 16 saves on 18 shots Saturday to make a first-half goal stand up for 2-4 Johnson State.

Kendra Pelow made 20 saves on 23 shots for Thomas of Waterville.

Colby 2, Wesleyan 0

At Waterville Saturday, Caitlin Krause and Lauren Gremelspacher provided all the offense as the White Mules improved to 1-1.

Abby Kussell made six saves on 11 shots for Colby. Ella Naef stopped five of 23 for 1-2 Wesleyan.

Western Conn. 3, So. Maine 0

At Gorham, Christie Gills, Heather Babington and Stacey Rogenski scored in Saturday’s win for the 5-1 Colonials.

Kristen Bartholomew and Jessica Freeman got the shutout, combining for five saves on eight shots.

Marcy Ansley made six saves on 13 shots for 3-2 Southern Maine.

St. Joseph’s 2, Johnson St. 0

At Johnson, Vt., Mary Gill scored 14 minutes into the game Sunday to pace the 2-1 Monks.

Jaclyn Morrill also scored for the winners and Marissa Regan stopped all four shots she faced.

For 2-5 Johnson State, Sarah Patterson stopped eight of 23 shots.

UM-Machias 3, UM-Fort Kent 1

At Fort Kent Saturday, Emma Apatu found the back of the net three times as the Clippers improved to 3-0.

Tricia Farrell faced just 10 shots and saved eight of them for the winners.

Tess Gagnon scored the goal for the 1-2 Bengals. Joy Gervais saved 14 of 17 shots.
